Alexander McNeil Alexander McNeil is the Swiss Re Research Fellow at the ETH in Zürich. He was previously at Imperial College in London, the Statistical Laboratory in Cambridge, and the University of Zürich.

On 28 August 1996, Dr McNeil became the first person to buy a copy of Financial Calculus. Reportedly delighted with his purchase, he immediately went on a two-week holiday to Scotland to recover.

Christof Luchsinger

Christof Luchsinger

Ahoy sailor! Christof Luchsinger seen here enjoying a boating trip on the charming Zürichsee in July 1994.

When not afloat, Chris works in the Abteilung Angewandte Mathematik of the University of Zürich.

David Hobson

David Hobson

Heads turned as David Hobson attended this Statistical Laboratory 40th anniversary dinner. Whilst young David turned away from our cameraman, other guests present enjoyed themselves with good food and fine wine at Christ's College in Cambridge.

We say to Dr Hobson (now at the University of Bath), a big Hello!
